ITCZ Continues to bring Heavy Rains over Mindanao on Tuesday — PAGASA
The presence of Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will continue to bring heavy rains over Mindanao on Tuesday, according to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
The ITCZ which is the thick clouds coming from the south of Asia, is considered a breeding ground for low-pressure areas (LPAs) or potential cyclones.
In its Tuesday forecast, PAGASA said the ITCZ across Mindanao, will bring cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms which may trigger flash floods and landslides while light to moderate rains and thunderstorms will prevail over Visayas
The weather bureau added that rest of Luzon, including Metro Manila, will be partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms.
Light to moderate winds blowing from the southwest will prevail over Luzon and from the southwest to west over the rest of the country with slight to moderate seas. (PNA) JBP/CLTC
