iPhone 6 To Have Larger Display
Apple is planning to release two iPhones this year, one with a 4.5 inch display and the other with a display greater than 5 inches, according to Wall Street Journal.
Both iPhones are said to have design similar to the iPhone 5s and even use the same build materials. The report claims that plastic body introduced with iPhone 5c will be discontinued. There have already been numerous reports about the poor performance of iPhone 5c, perhaps that’s why Apple isn’t planning on extending the life of its “unapologetically plastic” iPhone.
The 4.5 inch iPhone has reportedly been prepared for mass production whereas the larger model is currently believed to be in “preliminary development.”
The new iPhones are expected to be unveiled in the second quarter of 2014. No word as yet on internal specifications, though the A8 SoC is expected to power Apple’s 2014 crop of mobile devices.
