Internship Abroad Program to Bridge Graduates with Global Opportunities
ABE International Business College partnered up with 11 companies for its International Internship Program to provide their graduates with the opportunity to learn, earn, and see the world right after graduation. Through this internship opportunity, graduates will be exposed to multi-cultural experiences and develop skills and learn practices that can be used in a multi-national work environment.
“A growing number of employers are looking for candidates who have cross-cultural work experience as a prerequisite for hiring,” notes Dr. Amable R. Aguiluz V, founder and Chairman of AMA Education System the school network that ABE is a part of and considered the Father of IT Education in the Philippines. “Having an international internship experience increases a candidate’s credibility to employers both here and abroad.”
Among ABE’s partner companies for its HRM and Tourism program include 8Diverse Management Consultancy, Magsaysay, POEC, United Tower Philippines, Inc., Global Vantage 1, Vision International Philippines, and Three Lions Business Management Consultancy Group. These educational partners have offices from Australia to Europe—providing graduates experiences in work environments that vastly differ from local workplaces.
The Institute of Global Education Exchange and Internship and the Philippine Study Abroad Consultant Inc. are the two companies that work with ABE’s IT and Engineering graduates, as well as, HRM and Tourism. They can expect to be deployed in different areas in the US around Asia that use advanced software and IT systems. Coming back with updated knowledge will give graduates an edge over other candidates who have less experience on these IT tools.
For those who graduated in Allied Health courses, ServeQ and Jellyfish Education Consultancy Philippines will be the companies that will create internship opportunities for them. Graduates can expect to be placed different cities in Japan and Malaysia—countries that prioritize the healthcare and medical tourism sectors that in turn will expose them to advanced medical practices. These educational partners also cater to those who have graduated from HRM and Tourism.
To be part of the internship, graduates have up to a year after graduation to be considered eligible for the internship. Interested applicants may approach ABE on which educational partners are a good fit for their course. For countries that need visas, the partners would help the applicants go through the process of this. After completing the internship, graduates can take what they have learned back to the Philippines or even be employed in the country of their internship.
The international internship program is part of ABE’s commitment to give its graduates world-class education and prepare them for their future careers. “Through our global internship program, we know our graduates are workplace ready and will have an edge as they enter the workforce,” added Dr. Aguiluz.
