International Trade Expos Launch in Cebu

Four International Trade Expo showed their respective backbone products during the opening ceremony of the Hotel Suppliers Show, Print and Label Visayas, Packaging and Plastics Visayas and Manufacturing Technology Visayas Expo on June 27, Thursday, at the Waterfront Hotel and Casino in Lahug.

Key people in the trade industry were present to support the country’s business sector and to showcase their own products during the exhibit.

One of the VIPs was Cebu City Mayor-elect Edgardo Labella who expressed his willingness to maintain a good relationship between the local government of the City and entrepreneurs for the benefit of every citizen.

“Since then, we have been very supportive when it comes to the business sector, for which it develops not only the city, but also the people,” Labella said.

Labella also added that one of his visible way of supporting the business sector in Cebu City is by pushing the 2-year validity of business permits among entrepreneurs.

Labella will assume office as the Mayor of Cebu City on June 30 along with all elected officials who won during the May 13 midterm elections.

The 3-day event featured its Hotel Suppliers Exhibit at the 2nd floor of the hotel while the Print and Label Visayas, Packaging and Plastics Visayas and Manufacturing Technology Visayas’ exhibit is located at the ground floor.

Meanwhile, Patrick Lawrence Tan, CEO of Global-Link (the event’s organizer) said that Cebu is one of the most progressive city when it comes to economy.

“Cebu has always been a great venue for our shows because of its bustling economic scene. Our exhibitors meet quality potential buyers whenever we hold shows here. There have been a lot of developments in this city and we are really looking forward to what this growth can bring,” Tan said.

The expo is open for visitors from June 27-29 from 10 AM to 6:30 PM. (MLC)
