Instagram Finally Arrives on Windows Phone
Instagram has finally been released for Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8, in beta version.
The app includes all photo filters found on its iOS and Android versions, but it’s missing a number of crucial features such as the ability to record and upload video, view maps from geotagged photos.
“We’re not finished, and our team will continue developing the Windows Phone app to keep releasing features and bringing you the best Instagram possible,” says Instagram team at their blog.
Despite the missing features, a lot of users will be glad that they can finally download Instagram for Windows Phone.
There’s a button in the app which when tapped redirects to the camera, users will have to take pictures through the native camera app which are then returned to Instagram where the user can add filters, captions and instantly share them across various social networks. Instagram has said that its aim was to get the app out as soon as possible, that’s why a few crucial features are missing at this point in time.
You can download the beta Instagram for Windows Phone 8 free from the Windows Store.
