PAGASA on Thursday forecast the annual celebration of Independence Day on Friday may have rain over parts of Mindanao and cloudy skies.

It added that isolated afternoon or evening thunderstorms may prevail over the rest of the country. In its 5 p.m. bulletin Thursday, the weather agency said the rain over Mindanao is due to the inter-tropical convergence zone affecting Southern Mindanao.
