Inaugural Asian Forum on Enterprise for Society Looks at the Forces Shaping Asia’s Future
How different will the future be? Will robots replace humans? How do we build a safer world? What is a 21st century smart city? What is the future of education? What is the world’s most valuable resource? These are some of the big questions considered by the inaugural Asian Forum on Enterprise for Society (AFES) under the theme, “The Future Re-imagined”.
The two-day international conference in Manila will gather industry and civil society leaders, subject matter experts, entrepreneurs, and youth leaders from across the Asia-Pacific in a program of insights, dialogues, and debate on the forces shaping lives and communities in Asia. Some 500 delegates are expected to attend the conference on the April 17-18, 2018 at the Conrad Hotel Manila.
AFES 2018 is co-convened by the Ramon V. Del Rosario Center for Corporate Responsibility at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) and the Ramon Magsaysay Awards Foundation (RMAF) on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the AIM and the 60th anniversary of the RMAF.
“AFES 2018 is a unique partnership between two great Philippine institutions with significant impact across Asia. ‘The Future Re-imagined’ will look at how the World is changing and how these changes can be harnessed for a better and more inclusive future” said Timothy Ong, a board member of both the AIM and RMAF.
Leni Robredo, Vice-President of the Philippines, will deliver the opening keynote address. Leading personalities taking part in the program include: Mr. Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala II, Chairman and CEO of Ayala Corporation; Mr. Ross Dawson, Founding Chairman of the Future Exploration Network; Mr. Anshu Gupta, Founder of Goonj; Dr. Ayesha Khanna, Co-Founder and CEO, ADDO AI; Professor Randy David; Dr. Harish Hande, CEO, SELCO-India; Mr. Mechai Viravaidya, Founder Mechai Bamboo School; Ms Runa Khan, Founder, Friendship; Mr. Ed Chua, Chairman, Makati Business Club; and Professor David Grayson, expert on corporate responsibility.
