IMAX Enhanced To Deliver Outstanding 4K Quality to Homes

Reeling in a matchless audiovisual experience right into your living room is new certification and licensing program IMAX Enhanced and its 4K quality shooting announced just last week.

Brought to you by IMAX in partnership with DTS, this is made into a reality by new product manufacturers who work following this certification and licensing program.

Sony Electronics is already in on the plan, and studios like Paramount Pictures and Sony Picture are also onboard in addition to Sound United.

Manufacturers are tasked to design home theater equipment that reach precise audio and video standards as set by a committee of professional enginners and leading technical specialists from IMAX and DTS.

Devices created must bear an IMAX Model built-in with a mode that automatically optimizes content to the standards of filmmaker. IMAX and DTS along with their studio and content partners are working on digitally remastering audiovisual content and famous films.

IMAX Enhanced is set to launch this fall, to be followed by home theater devices from its partners.
