IBP to Hold 2023 National Convention of Lawyers in Davao City
The Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) is gearing up for its 2023 National Convention of Lawyers, which will take place from February 16 to February 18, 2023, at the SMX Convention Center in Davao City. The convention will mark the first mandatory, in-person gathering of all lawyers in four years and is expected to be one of the biggest gatherings held by the IBP so far, with more than 3500 lawyers expected to attend.
The convention dubbed as “IBP at 50: Looking Back, Moving Forward,” will provide a forum for discussion on the IBP’s former leaders and the significant events and programs that have shaped the IBP, the legal profession, and the rule of law in the country. The convention will cover topics about the IBP’s activities, and attendees will have a chance to propose resolutions to the membership during the plenary session.
As the IBP celebrates its golden anniversary, the convention will also be a chance for the attendees and participants to engage in meaningful discourse with members of the Supreme Court and the judiciary. They will discuss what the future holds for the IBP and the legal profession as a whole, and how to navigate the challenges that lie ahead.
With the 2023 National Convention of Lawyers, the IBP is continuing its tradition of promoting the rule of law and upholding the rights of lawyers in the country. The convention is an opportunity for lawyers to come together, discuss pressing legal issues, and propose solutions that will help shape the future of the legal profession in the Philippines.
