IATF Eases Age Restrictions, Persons Aged 15-65 Now Allowed to Go Out
The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) has eased the quarantine age restrictions, expanding the age group allowed to go out amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
According to the Inter-Agency Task Force Resolution No. 79 released on Friday, people aged 15 to 65 are now allowed to go out.
This broadens the quarantine age restrictions from the previous travel restrictions where in the only people allowed to go out to run errands or procure essentials are within the ages 21 and 60.
The IATF also continues to appeal to LGUs to have shorter curfew hours to allow businesses to thrive.
The COVID-19 task force also allowed malls and other business establishments to hold sales and other marketing initiatives and events to spur consumer activity. (GFB)
