Hunat Sugbu Triathlon Goes Home to Argao
Like salmon defying the current for its traditional homecoming to spawn, Hunat Sugbu Triathlon goes home to Argao.
This is the fourth staging of such an event, overall. Normally there is just one Hunat Sugbu Tri annually but because of a charity-motivated staging in Bantayan Island, post Yolanda, it was done twice last year. The other venue was Oslob town.
According to Cen Manguilimotan, general manager of Cebu Parklane International Hotel, Hunat Sugbu existed because they want to help the community, more specifically the hearing-impaired community. “Every effort we put in goes to the foundation whose intent is to help the less privileged. Hunat Sugbu takes pride to uphold the vision once shared to us by Manuel “Maning” Ting. We know why we run and continue to exist.”
The Tings own Cebu Parklane. This event is a spinoff of the Dagan Para Kang Maning (fun run) series.
