HTC Announces Desire 626
HTC formally announced the Desire 626, a mid-range handset, in Taiwan.
The HTC Desire 626 sports a 5-inch display with 720×1,280 pixel resolution. Under the hood, the phone runs a 64-bit Snapdragon 410 processor from Qualcomm coupled with 1GB of RAM.
Other specs include a 13 megapixel rear and 5 megapixel front camera, 16GB of onboard storage and a 2,000mAh battery.
HTC has also created a version of Desire 626 that will be powered by an octacore processor from MediaTek. This particular version is expected to be sold in China only.
In Taiwan HTC’s latest smartphone will cost roughly $190. The company hasn’t said if and when Desire 626 will be released in markets worldwide.
