HPA to Bring Fair Weather on Thursday
The ridge of high pressure area continues to be the dominant weather system affecting the country that will bring fair weather with thunderstorms in most parts of the country on Thursday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
HPA is the opposite of the low-pressure area – a weather system consisting of warm air circulating over the Pacific Ocean.
PAGASA said that ridge of HPA prevails over the eastern section of Visayas.
He said the whole country will be partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening.
For Thursday forecast, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with rainshowers or thunderstorms will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
Moderate to strong winds coming from the south to southwest will prevail over Northern Luzon with moderate to rough seas. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the south to southwest with slight to moderate seas.
The state weather bureau has not issued gale warning as fisherfolks are safe to venture into the seas. (PNA) JMC/CLTC
