Hopia in Cebu Album Launch

Hopia, a band from Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental will be launching their album here in Cebu City at Handuraw Pizza Gorordo on December 19, 2014 Friday at 8pm.

The band is a fusion of rock, blues, soul and jazz. This eight-piece band got its name from its lead vocalist and songwriter, Hopia Tinambacan. They started off as a “KORUM”; basically friends who loved jamming and later on set out to record their original compositions. Most of their songs are written in bisaya in which both young and young at heart can appreciate, but not to be associated with.

The band is composed of members Hopia Tinambacan on vocals, Kim Tinambacan on acoustic guitars, Franber “Ranran” Candia on lead guitars, Jude Lozada on bass guitar, Clark “Inting” Trasmonte on drums, Ramon Cuartela Jr. on keyboards, Abe Jun Esquibel on Alto Sax and Jerry Catarata on Tenor Sax.

Their album will include their hits, “Gugma Korni Ba”, “Abby Ko” and “Mingawon Ka”.

The event will be supported by Trigger Empithri and Missing Filemon.
