Guard Fired Gun in Talisay City Hall
An issued shotgun of a security officer of Blackpearl Security Agency went off inside the Talisay City Hall last Sunday.
Another guard, who refused to be named, said the firing was “accidental.”
Romeo Villacampa, a security officer of Blackpearl Security Agency, said he was about to turn over the said firearm to another security guard who would replace his post for the day, when the gun went off.
The guard said Villacampa thought the gun was empty when he cocked it, only to be surprised when it went off.
Mayor Johnny V. de los Reyes, who made an ocular inspection near the Treasurer’s Office where the incident allegedly took place, saw the small crack on the floor and on the wall of the said office.
De los Reyes said he would call on the attention of the guard to hear the story, and have the incident investigated. He said he may sanction Villacampa for such negligence, if found guilty.
” That is not normal nga circumstance. Pagtunol nimo, mobuto? Unsa man na, mobuto uroy kung naay daghang tawo. Kadelikado ba ana,” he said.
A few months ago, Blackpearl became controversial after the Capitol did not award the P27-million contract to it a few months ago as in the midst of a post-qualification evaluation, one of its guards allegedly hit a passing motorcycle-for-hire driver.
