GrabCar Resumes Operations in Cebu City and Talisay City
GrabCar announces the resumption of its service in Cebu City and Talisay City, both of which are now downgraded to the General Community Quarantine (GCQ).
Grab Philippines Sr. City Manager for Vis-Min Raymond Dejan emphasized on the need to reopen the economy while continuing to provide safe and reliable transportation to commuters.
“As Cebu City graduates to GCQ, transportation will remain to be a beating lifeline of our economy, and Grab will remain an enduring partner to the city of Cebu by providing safe and reliable transport services to the commuting public. While public health restrictions ease, let us not lose sight of our commitment to safety – not just for ourselves, but for our communities as well. Many of us have been impacted by the pandemic, but we hope that with our GrabProtect Program, as well as our other initiatives for our riding public as well as our driver-partners here in Cebu, we will continue to safely reopen our economy,” Dejan said.
In the first two weeks of GCQ, GrabCar is also offering a 50% fare discount to their customers, especially for the essential workers, small business owners, and the general commuting public.
GrabCar will also waive its commission to its Cebu-based driver-partners in the first two weeks of GCQ in the city.
In compliance with the safety regulations implemented by the government, GrabCar employs GrabProtect — Grab’s safety and hygiene program. (ASC)
