Gov’t Targets Mobilizing 180K Vaccinators for COVID-19 Nat’l Vax Drive
The national government aims for the mobilization of over 170,000 medical workers that will be vaccinators for the three-day national COVID-19 vaccination drive from November 29 to December 1, according to Dr. Kezia Rosario of the National Vaccination Operation Center (NOVC) during a Palace briefing.
This comes as the “Bayanihan, Bakunahan” Day draws nearer, prompting the government to “mobilize all the resources” from private and public agencies, Rosario said further.
Rosario is also urging different healthcare professionals in the country such as doctors, dentist pharmacists, nurses, and other medical volunteers to participate in the vaccination drive.
She added that the mobilization of vaccinators may reach as high as 200,000.
Moreover, National Task Force (NTF) against Covid-19 chief and vaccine czar Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. said that the government is targeting the administration of five million COVID-19 vaccines each day of the three-day vaccination drive.
Furthermore, both the NTF and NVOC are seeking for Malacañang to issue an executive order, along with a circular from the Department of Health that will effectively declare the “Bayanihan, Bakunahan” three-day COVID-19 vaccination drive a regular holiday. (GFB)
