Gov’t Reminds COVID-19 Vax Not For Sale
The Visayan Vaccine Operations Center (VVOC) urges Cebuanos to report any case of peddling COVID-19 vaccines as it is illegal to sell them.
Under the Emergency Use Authorization (EUA), the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) is the only authorized department to facilitate the purchase of the vaccines.
Although there are no reports of individuals selling COVID-19 vaccines yet in the Visayan region, VVOC Dr. Mary Jean Loreche and also the Department of Health (DOH)-Central Visayas chief pathologist, reminded the Cebuanos to report any peddling of the vaccines.
Loreche also warned illegal peddlers of COVID-19 that will face charges. She added that these COVID-19 vaccines sold illegally came from the black market. (ASC)
