Governor Davide Dares Capitol Workers To Prove Themselves Worthy
Governor Hilario P. Davide III challenged Capitol workers to prove themselves “worthy” of being in public service. The governor spoke at the annual general assembly of the Provincial Employees Association of Cebu (PEACE) last May 11 at the Capitol Social Hall.
He stressed that “public office is a public trust” and urged for dedication and professionalism. “Please look at yourselves in the mirror when you wake up in the morning. Ask yourselves unsa may ma contribute nako aron molambo ang kauban nakong mga Sugbuanon,” he added.
Governor Davide asked employees to ensure that their actions while working with the government do not embarrass those who recommended them “sama nga ako maningkamot usab nga dili nako mapakyas ang mibotar nako to this office.”
He said that while he always treats everybody with trust, “if you proved yourself unworthy malas lang gyud”.
PEACE President Virgilio Jakosalem assured the governor that their members are fully committed to support the administration’s programs. He said “PEACE is united for better performance to deliver service to the people”.
