Government-run TV Stations Arrive at QC to Protest PNoy’s SONA
Hours before President Benigno Aquino III will give his 5th State of the Nation Address (SONA) today, protesters are showing up early Monday at the Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City to express their grievances against the administration.
Among the first to arrive were employees of government-run PTV-4 and IBC 13, GMA News online reported. Report said the employees of these government-run television stations are up to express opposition to what they termed as unjust working conditions.
Police places barricades and barbed wire in parts of the highway since early Monday as militant groups marched towards Commonwealth Avenue across the Iglesia Ni Cristo in Quezon City around 7 am. The militant group Bagong Alyansang Makabayan (BAYAN)-NCR were seen carrying streamers and messages calling for the ouster of what they called as the anti-farmer US-Aquino regime.
