Gov. Gwen Prepares for New Normal in Cebu

Cebu Provincial Governor Gwen Garcia announced that the Cebu Provincial Government is preparing for the “new normal” to be implemented in Cebu after the lifting of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) on May 15, 2020, according to Sugbo News.

Governor Garcia said that she will create Taskforce New Normal for the province of Cebu, one of Capitol’s plans in the development of the countryside.

The Taskforce New Normal will be headed by Garcia and will have representatives from the business sector, public transport sector, travel and tourism, airline industries, and government agencies, among others.

An Executive Order will be drafted for the creation of the Taskforce New Normal.

As of writing, the total cases in Cebu Province has already climbed up to 25 with the recently confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the towns of Daantayan and Minglanilla. (ASC)
