Google My Business Offers LGBTQ Attributes
In late June, Google My Business added the new “LGBTQ-friendly” and “Transgender Safe Space” attributes for businesses.
The two attributes are designed to help the LGBTQ community celebrate and find spaces that give them a sense of belonging and comfort. No longer should they think twice about whether they are welcome in this restaurant or in this shop.
With these newly-added attributes, business owners can mark their businesses on Google listing as a safe space for transgenders and/or a friendly spot for the LGBTQ community.
Attributes show up on a business’ Google listing on Search and even on Maps.
As of now, there are already over 190,000 businesses around the world that have enabled the said attributes.
To activate these attributes, simply log in to a Google My Business account, access the Info tab located on your dashboard, tap on the Attributes section of the listing editor, look up your wanted attributes, then click on the relevant tag, and confirm with the Apply button.
