Globe Telecom Holds Forum for Journalism Students in Cebu

Globe Telecom recently held a forum for graduating journalism students in Cebu, coinciding with celebrations of the Cebu Press Freedom Week, amid growing impact of technology and internet on journalism practice. Entitled “Role of Technology and Social Media in Journalism”, the forum sought to provide relevant insights from journalism and social media practitioners based on their respective professional experiences. Panelists were past winners of the Globe Media Excellence Awards, which is now on its fourth year. More than 200 journalism students from University of the Philippines (Visayas); University of San Jose – Recoletos; Southwestern University Cebu; Institute of Technology University; University of the Visayas (Cebu); Cebu Normal University; St. Theresa’s College; Benedicto College, joined the forum.
