Global Peace

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” Matthew 5:9

“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” revelation 21:4

War and crisis are inevitable consequences of human sin. Children of God are called to pray and work for peace in the world. Just think how much  worse it would be if we stopped doing that! However, because of mankind’s sinful nature, war will not end until Jesus Christ, the ‘Prince of Peace’, returns, and then there will finally be peace forever.

“A child is born to us, a son is given to us… These will be his royal titles… Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6

“He will judge between many peoples and will settle disputes for strong nations far and wide. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore.” Micah 4:3
