Global Link Events Holds Back-to-Back Expo
Global-Link MP Events International, Inc. (GLMP) launched their mega trade event, Manufacturing Technology Cebu and PackPrint Plas Cebu.The event, which is a convergence of industries, will be held on July 25-27 at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel.
“We are very happy to be back here in Cebu,” shared Patrick Lawrence Tan, chief executive officer of GLMP. “This is one of the most exciting cities in the country. You can find everything from scenic tourist spots, the most ambitious construction projects, and the most lucrative businesses. Our trade show is about highlighting these innate strengths of Cebu and taking these sectors to the next level. We are bringing together the who’s who of the business in one venue. This is the place to be for any company looking to reach new markets and create better brand awareness.”
During the launching and press conference, present were executives and representatives from GLMP’s partner organizations and industry supporters including the Philippine Center for Print Excellence Foundation (PCPEF), Packaging Institute of the Philippines (PIP), Philippine Plastics Industry Association (PPIA), Cebu Bakers Association (CEBA), Philippines Society of Plumbing Engineers (PSPE), Cebu Tour and Travel Association (CTTA), and Cebu Association of Tour Operators (CATO), Cebu Furniture Industries Foundation (CFIF) and its newest event partner, the Cebu Organization of Printing Industries (COPI). Representatives of each association shared in-depth industry knowledge and forecast on the direction of their respective sectors. This is where the industries unite.
According to PSPE President Jason Magos, “In order to catch up with the era of globalization that we are in today, the Philippines Society of Plumbing Engineers is heading towards the development of innovative solutions such as the green plumbing technology with the aim of contributing to national prosperity without setting aside the protection of the environment.” In one of the dialogues during the event launch, he also said, “Our partnership with Global Link MP Events International, Inc. in organizing Manufacturing Technology Cebu has always been a great opportunity for us to share our insights about our industry and how it can contribute to national development.”
The trade event, which is also held in Davao and in Manila, serves as an avenue for business leaders, industry stakeholders and the general public to be well aware of the latest developments in each of the participating sectors, each of which is very vital in creating a globally competitive business industry.
“Since technologies, products and services are continuously being improved nowadays, it is necessary that business leaders be provided with events such as PackPrint Plas Cebu where we could come together and present the latest innovations and solutions available in our respective industries”, Aris Del Mundo, Acting President of PCPEF mentioned.
The press conference was made even more exciting by the launch of all the activities that are set to make this year’s event a trade experience one would not want to miss. Some of these are the Printers Technology Forum led by PCPEF, 2nd Visayas Technical Symposium by the PSPE, and The Great Furniture Sale presented by the Cebu Furniture Industries Foundation, among others. These will surely stir up the enthusiasm of every business-oriented Cebuano and provide them with an opportunity to develop their skills and passion for the industry of commerce.

Through the years, GLMP has been very successful in bringing together companies, suppliers and distributors from the nation’s largest industries and bridging them to thousands of trade buyers and company decision makers. Just last year, there were over 120 exhibiting companies occupying 2,650 sq. meters of exhibition space and meeting over 6,000 trade visitors and buyers. This translated to USD 1.6 million on-site sales.
This year, more interesting results are expected as the three-day trade exhibit. Show hours will be from 10:30 am to 6:30 pm for July 25 and 26 and 10:30 am until 5:00 pm for July 27. This is the biggest and the best event ever organized to date. The most impressive event just got even more impressive.
