‘Girl with a Broken String’ Season Finale

‘Girl with a Broken String’, the story about a girl who wants to be a song, and the boy whose fingers she keeps escaping from, will have its season finale this August 1, 2014 Friday at Handuraw Gorordo.

Girl with a Broken String is the story of Sam, a young songwriter, who tries to sing and write through her heartbreak. After her first boyfriend, J, leaves with no explanations, she creates a secret blog. In the comforts of anonymity, she shares the most important and ordinary sentiments of someone wanting to know what to do with her heart.

Girl with a Broken String is a story about backward glances and moving forward. It’s about a girl whose love, she realized, can go everywhere with music and stories. And love has a choice despite broken guitar strings and people. In the secret hopes of being found, Sam entirely loses her only life’s work of romance. She gains instead a life and love of her own doing.

Girl with a Broken String is a collaboration of Cebu-based artists: Jude Gitamondoc, Therese Villarante, Ivy Gallur, Daryl Leong, JadBantug, AnjeloCalinawan, Kurt Fick, MaerenSanoria, and Lee Pada. For everyone who likes music, stories, color, falling in love, and being brave enough to give oneself the happiest ending.
