Shout out to all ladies in the Metro, a charming new shop is here to cater to all your fashion essentials, everything from handmade-wired bracelets to statement necklaces!

Located at the Upper Ground Floor of JCentre Mall, Gorgeous is hard to miss. It’s impressive array of cute, colorful accessories is enough for mall-goers to stop by and try something on.

It all started when sisters Goldine Wong and Glaiza Wong-Nava decided to venture into the accessory business and open up Gorgeous in Ilo-ilo around 2008. According to Glaiza, they opted for the name Gorgeous because they wanted to incorporate the letter G from their names and at the same time, show the qualities of their target market – women who are confident and beautiful in their own ways.

The sisters are self-proclaimed accessory fanatics. Glaiza Wong-Nava even recalls making wired accessories from her elementary years, with her classmates for customers.

“My sister and I were always into accessories. At first, we joined exhibits lang muna. So when everything fell into place, that’s when we decided to open the shop,” says Glaiza Wong-Nava.

The success of their first business venture in Ilo-ilo led them to open another branch all the way to Cebu, taking note of the Cebuana’s eye for aesthetics. The sisters especially take pride in their handmade accessories, the top-pick of their customers.

“All our accessories have a unique touch, we personally choose the ready-made accessories and the designs of the handmade ones are ours as well,” says Glaiza.

Prices start at P50 for ready-made accessories, while handmade accessories are a little pricier at P500. Glaiza Wong-Nava assures customers will get more than their money’s worth because real gems adorn most of their handmade accessories.

“We have everything here, from casual to all-out. So pag may prom or special event, you might want to check us out,” adds Glaiza.
