Get Curried Away at Firozian
Spice up your gastronomic adventures and experience authentic Indian cuisine at its best – only at Firozian Indian Tea House. It all started when Firoz Singh and his wife, April wanted to create a restaurant that offers the authentic taste of Indian food. Staying true to its name, Firozian means the experience in India, shared Firoz being the owner and chef of the tea house.
The moment you step in this little tea house, you’re greeted with an ambience of colored walls and curtains with divans, low tables and pillows to invite foodies to dine the Indian way. For starters, the Durum is a hefty, meaty treat filled with onions, tomatoes, salads and yoghurt – the real shawarma but double the size. However, if you feel like going light, a hot plate of Samosas is a perfect fit for you. They are fried or baked pastries packed with a savory filling of onions, potatoes and peas.

Other pleasers are the Dal Makhani which is a healthy staple food in India made of red kidney beans combined with black beans and the Chinni Chicken, a rare sweet and racy dish from Punjab. They also serve their own take on Butter Chicken, also known as Chicken Makhani, which is one of the best known Indian food favourites that can be made either mild or spicy to suit varied palates.

To pair your meal is the traditional Lassi, a drink made of yoghurt and Indian spices like rose extract to give it more oomph. Aside from that, another thirst-quencher is the tangy Frugurt Shake that keeps you fresh and cool. They also serve brewed coffee and teas like Turskish and Ginger Tea. There is also a wide array of sweet treats to savor. Gulab Jamun is a popular dessert in the Indian subcontinent which is a soft and fluffy milk ball soaked with aromatic and lightly spiced sugar.
The Baklava, on the other hand, is a rich pastry with chopped nuts and sweetened with syrup. Another popular dessert option is the Indian sweet chickpea flour balls, the Bessan Laddu. As a promising Indian restaurant in town, Firozian Indian Tea House continues to satisfy foodies with good, authentic Indian food, in a laid-back and cozy place that’s worth every visit. Don’t miss out on the experience. Eat with your hands, enjoy good company and let your tongue welcome the spices of India.
