Free Livelihood Skills Training to Launch in Cebu
Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and the Cebu Provincial Government are ready to launch the “Sugbo Kahanas” program for Cebuanos.
The “Sugbo Kahanas” program aims to provide free livelihood skills training for Cebuanos.
TESDA Secretary Isidro Lapeña and Cebu Provincial Governor Gwendolyn Garcia have signed a Memorandum of Agreement to formalize their partnership for the program at the Cebu Provincial Capitol on Wednesday.
Cebu Provincial Government will allocate a budget of P100-million for the province-wide “Sugbo Kahanas” program.
TESDA on the other hand will provide free livelihood training for Cebuanos ages 15 years old and above especially those who lost their jobs because of this COVID-19 pandemic.
TESDA will offer 70 skills development programs including welding, computer servicing, organic farming, cookery, pastry production, food production, and more. (ASC)
