Former City Administrator Now Heads TCC

Former Talisay City administrator Richel Bacaltos is now the acting director of the Talisay City College (TCC). This after the school’s board of trustees removed its previous head, Tomas Ramos, from the position.

Bacaltos, who served as city administrator for then Mayor Socrates Fernandez, was replaced upon orders of the new City Mayor Johnny delos Reyes. But with Bacaltos’ performance, being head of the Committee on Education when he was councilor for three terms prior to his appointment as city administrator of Talisay, the board of trustees, then headed by Fernandez, appointed him as TCC director.

Former TCC head Tomas Ramos was suspended in late May following his unliquidated P10 million expenses of the school’s funds. Two weeks after the suspension, the board issued another order terminating Ramos’ services from the said school.
