Flying Car Makes Public Debut in Dubai
A flying car made its public debut as Chinese electronic vehicle maker Xpeng, Inc. made its maiden flight in United Arab Emirates.
This is the company’s first step towards its goal of launching flying electric vehicles in the international market.
The flying car, dubbed X2, is an electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft that features seating for two persons and is powered by eight propellers, which are mounted at every corner of the vehicle.
X2’s maiden flight was an unmanned, 90-minute test flight in Dubai.
XPeng said that the test flight was their first step toward making flying cars a reality.
It is an “important base for the next generation of flying cars,” XPeng said. (GFB)
