First Philippine-Made Train to Roll in March
The first train made in the Philippines will soon roll out starting March 1.
Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Secretary Fortunato de la Peña said the train has passed all the required tests and is being awaited to travel along the Tutuban-Alabang route.
The Philippine National Railways (PNR) will officially use the first-ever Philippine-made train developed by the DOST.
PNR operates two commuter rail services in Metro Manila, the Metro South Commuter Train, in ordinary and air condition that ply from Tutuban to Alabang and vice versa. Likewise, from Alabang to Calamba (vice versa). (PIA-NCR)
