First ‘Kabayan Corner’ Launched in Dubai

The first ‘Kabayan Corner’ was recently launched in Dubai to promote the Philippine Government’s proactive role in serving the Filipino people in the country.

The “Kabayan Corner-Ask Atty. Barney / Isumbong mo kay ConGen” launched at the LBC Smart Shelter-Al Rigga, Dubai is composed of a drop box, and a tablet which contains the basic laws of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Consul General Paul Raymund P. Cortes led the launching of the Kabayan Corner together with Mr. Allan Michael Bautista, Sales & Marketing Senior Manager of LBC, and Atty. Barney Almazar, Director of Gulf Law.

The Consulate General encouraged all Filipinos to utilize the tablets and be informed of the basic laws in the UAE, as well as to send their concerns to either the Gulf Legal Advice or to the Consulate General if they have other inquiries.

According to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), more Kabayan Corner projects will be opened in Satwa, Karama and Deira. (DFA/RJB/JEG/PIA-NCR)
