Fete Au Monastery: Fete Dela Musique Tribute

The Monastery in coordination with Fete dela Musique 2015 presents Fete Au Monastery: Fete Dela Musique Tribute this June 19 Friday and 20 Saturday, 2015.

The Fête de la Musique, also known as Make Music Day or World Music Day, is an annual music celebration taking place on June 21, the first day of summer in cities around the world.

The concept of an all-day musical celebration on the days of the solstice, was originated by American musician Joel Cohen, who spent two seasons as a producer of musical radio programs for the French National Radio (France Musique).The idea later was adapted as a national celebration each June 21 in France and made official by the French Minister of Culture, Jack Lang. The festival later became celebrated in 120 countries around the world.

Performing this Friday June 19 will be Honeydrop, Hey it’s Your Birthday, Made by Machina, Sunday Sunday and Kokas for the Dj set.

Performances for June 20 include Reunify Arma, Anton Mansueto, Ultimo, Psychomonkey, The Difficult Strangers and Kokas for the Dj Set.

Entrance is free to the two events. The Monastery is at 976 Veteran’s Drive, Lahug Cebu CIty, Philippines, Cebu City.
