FDA Dialogue With Cebuano Traders Slated
In line with the anticipated ASEAN Economic Integration in 2015 and in connection with the current regulation issues by the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) – the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI), Cebu Business Club in partnership with the Philippine International Seafreight Forwarders Association (PISFA) and the Chamber of Customs Brokers Incorporated (CCBI) will hold a forum with the various stakeholders on July 28, 2014 (Monday) from 9:00AM to 1:00pm at Cebu Parklane Hotel.
Key personnel and officers of Food and Drugs Administration Central Office in Manila and Region VII are coming to Cebu to conduct an industry wide dialogue to give enlightenment on the new government policies. Dr. Kenneth Hartigan-Go the Acting Director General of FDA will tackle on the various rules and regulations and how we can have a more efficient system. He will also present the reforms that his Bureau have made and will present the challenges as well as the alignment with other government agencies that affects trading.
Dr. Go will be accompanied by his team from Center for Food Regulation & Research (CFRR) and Center for Device Regulation Radiation Health and Research (CDRRHR). They will present the current process of filing online application and future trends, e-notification process, the new Administrative Order on Food Licensing and Registration, and scope of PDT Registration.
The Chamber is inviting its member companies in the food, cosmetics, toys, health equipment industries to attend the Forum. A minimal Registration Fee of Php500 will be charge per participant to cover the cost of meals during the forum.
