Fair Weather Seen in Most Parts of PHL

Except with light rains, most parts of the country will continue to experience fair weather amid two weather systems now affecting the country, according to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Monday.

In its Monday forecast, northeast monsoon now affects extreme Northern Luzon while ridge of high pressure area (HPA) prevails over Visayas and Mindanao.

Due to the presence of northeast monsoon, cloudy skies with light rains will be experienced over the provinces of Batanes, Cagayan including Calayan and Babuyan group of islands.

The HPA, meanwhile, could bring clear skies and warm temperature as the rest of the country including Metro Manila will generally have good weather condition — aside from isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

It added ‘moderate to occasionally strong winds from the northeast will prevail over extreme Northern Luzon and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to occasionally rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the northeast to east with slight to moderate seas.

The state weather bureau has not issued gale warning as the fisherfolk are safe to venture out into the open sea. (PNA) JBP/CLTC
