Fair weather with isolated thunderstorms will prevail in most parts of the country on Friday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), due to the presence of ridge of high pressure area (HPA).

The HPA continues to affect Luzon and Visayas while the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will affect southern Mindanao in the coming days.

For Friday forecast, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

Moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the south to southwest will prevail over extreme northern Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to occasionally rough. Light to moderate winds coming from the southeast to south will prevail over the rest of Northern Luzon and from the east to southeast over the rest of the country with slight to moderate seas.

The state weather bureau has not issued gale warning as the fisherfolks are safe to venture into the seas. (PNA) JMC/CLTC/EDS
