Fair Weather on Friday
Most parts of the country will experience fair weather on Friday except the western section of Luzon, according to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
In an interview, PAGASA weather forecaster Shelley Ignacio said the southwest monsoon or “hanging habagat” continue to affect the western section of Luzon.
She said that for Friday forecast, southwest monsoon will bring cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms over the province of Palawan while partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
Ignacio said the state weather bureau is monitoring a low pressure area (LPA) outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility which will not directly affect the country and a small chance to develop into tropical cyclone.
She added that it will be a storm-free weekend.
In its advisory, PAGASA said that moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the southwest to south will prevail over the western section of Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to occasionally rough.
Winds will be light to moderate coming from the southeast to south with slight to moderate seas.
The state weather bureau has not issued gale warning as the fisherfolk are safe to venture into the seas. (PNA) JMC/CLTC
