Face Shields No Longer Required Outdoors
Face shields are no longer a requirement for people to wear outdoors, President Rodrigo Duterte announced last Wednesday night during his “Talk to the People.”
This comes as the Technical Advisory Group (TAG) recommended the limiting the use of face shields outdoors, to which Duterte approved of.
However, face shields are still required in closed and crowded areas and activities where people are in close proximity to each other.
Duterte ordered the immediate implementation the new recommendation.
Meanwhile, the Department of Health 7 (DOH 7) also supports the easing of the policy of using face shields outdoors.
DOH 7 also said that they are ready to implement the said recommendation by the TAG.
The department also agreed with the use of face shields in closed and crowded areas as it adds more protection against COVID-19. (ASC)
