Christin’s children, Manuelle designs, and Amaury heads the R & D department. Asked about the distinctions between the Nature and Franck Herval brands, they said that the former stances bolder designs using natural components such as wood, shells, animal bones, mineral and vegetable raw materials. The latter on the other hand, is stylish, more intricate and trendy incorporating resin, metal, glass, crystal and imported stones. The Nature brand’s design is produced through exploration and experimentation of the natural components used in it, while Franck Herval delves into more concepts.
Kor Landa was created in 1982 by Christin as a production center of fashion jewelry made of natural components. It boasts of a rich and highly specialized “library of trends” which is a close collaboration with trendsetters’ offices in Paris, France. With it comes the advantage being the origin of fashion and where the world calls the “fashion capital” in this planet.
The 30-year-old company has evolved throughout the years to offer its customers a wide range of services, techniques and know-how. Designers, model makers, and color specialists are working hand-in-hand with the production team every step of the way. A team of specialists develops collections and designs closely tailored to client’s needs.
“Philippines is an emerging country from a developing country,” quipped Christin when explaining the rationale of the soon-to-rise Kor Landa retail store.
