Expect Fair Weather to Continue – PAGASA
Manila (PNA) — Except in extreme Northern Luzon, most parts of the country will continue to experience fair weather on Monday, according to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
PAGASA weather forecaster Glaiza Escullar said the whole country will have sunny to partly cloudy skies withpossible isolated rains due to localized thunderstorms until Wednesday.
She added no weather disturbance has been monitored as of yet or in the next three days near the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
Escullar said the Batanes Group of Islands will experience occasional rains due to the effects of weakening southwest monsoon or “hanging habagat” — the prevailing wind system during the rainy season — now affecting extreme Northern Luzon.
She added with the weakening southwest monsoon no gale warning was issued in any seaboards of the country as fisherfolks are allowed to venture out into the seas.
In its advisory, PAGASA said moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest will prevail over Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the southwest with slight to moderate seas. (PNA) JBP/CLTC
