Expect Cloudy Skies, Light to Moderate Rains on Monday — PAGASA
Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains are expected in many parts of the country including Metro Manila on Monday due to Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), according to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
PAGASA said the ITCZ affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao is the thick clouds coming from the south of Asia and considered a breeding ground for low-pressure areas (LPAs) or potential cyclones.
The state weather bureau forecast on Monday cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms will be experienced over Metro Manila, Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon) Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan), Western Visayas and Mindanao.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms will prevail over the rest of the country.
It added light to moderate winds blowing from the northeast to southeast will prevail over Luzon and coming from the southwest to west over the rest of the country. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate. (PNA) JBP/CLTC
