Ex-Presidential Bet Seneres Dies Of Cardiac Arrest
Former presidential candidate and OFW Family Party-list Rep. Roy Seneres on Monday died of cardiac arrest a little past 8:00 a.m. at the St. Luke’s Medical Center in Taguig City. He was 68.
The lawmaker had been rushed to the hospital early last month because of deteriorating health conditions due to diabetes.
In a text message, his son RJ, confirmed the death of his father who suffered from multiple organ failure.
Seneres is the lone presidential candidate who is a staunch opponent of labor contractualization.
Days before his death, the former Philippine ambassador and labor attache to the United Arab Emirates withdrew his candidacy from the May 2016 presidential race. (PNA) BNB/SFM
