Ex-Barangay Captain of Lagtang Shot Dead in Sibonga
Former Lagtang Brgy. Captain Mark Ferdinand “Dindin” Bas was shot dead in his rented house at Sitio Dumlog, Brgy. Simala, Sibonga in the Province of Cebu on October 8, 2018.
His live-in partner Charmaine Anton called the police after she knew about the incident at around 6:45 a.m. Anton was not present when the shooting incident happened.
The caretaker of the rented house was the one who told Anton about the incident.
Anton and Dindin was said to have rented the house since July 2018
Police said that there a report that there was a shooting incident in the area at 1:00 a.m. but when they arrived it was quiet and the responders were pulled out.
Two people were said that have broke-in the house rented by Bas and shot him dead.
Dindin was also tagged as a narco-politician and was arrested on April 2018 after the police raided his house and recovered a gun, grenade and ammunition but got out after posting bail.
He was the father of the Lagtang Brgy, Councilor Stephen Art Bas who was shot dead while driving along the South Road Properties to school on July. (Aljun S. Cainghog)
