Estrada, Moreno Proclaimed Winners in Manila
Former President Joseph Estrada and incumbent Manila Vice Mayor Isko Moreno were proclaimed winners of the mayoral and vice mayoral races in Manila by the City Board of Canvassers (CBOC) around noon Tuesday.
Estrada got 343,993 votes while Lim received 308,544. Moreno got 395,156 votes over 234,256 votes for Councilor Lou Veloso.
The Commission of Elections (Comelec)issued a resolution to proclaim the two with 97.16 percent of certificates of canvass (CoCs) transmitted according to CBOC chairman Jayvee Villagarcia.
Estrada said on a speech that he will redeem Manila’s vitality.
Meanwhile, Trisha Bonoan, Amado Bagatsing, and Sandy Ocampo were also proclaimed winners of the congressional seats for Manila’s District 4, 5 and 6, respectively.
