Edukasyon Welcomes 11 Schools from the RVM Education Ministry to its Platform
Edukasyon, the leading technology platform in the Philippines connecting students with higher education options, today announced its partnership with 11 schools led by the oldest and largest Filipino Catholic congregation, Religious of the Virgin Mary (RVM). These RVM Education Ministry schools join more than 500 local and international institutions that actively use Edukasyon to engage with more than 10 million students who visit the platform each year.
RVM was founded in 1684 by a Filipina, Venerable Mother Ignacia Del Espiritu Santo, and its education ministry currently runs 49 schools across the Philippines. The ministry seeks to provide a holistic approach to learning, conveying values and principles to the youth of today. These include not only achieving personal growth and psycho-spiritual and social maturity, but also contributing to the common good of society. The educational thrust of the RVM schools involves an integral process towards the intended quality Transformative Ignacian Marian Education and maintains a strong commitment to molding innovative and dynamic young professionals.
The 11 RVM schools that have signed on to the Edukasyon platform are St. Mary’s Academy of Pasay, St. Mary’s Academy of Caloocan, St. Mary’s College of Meycauayan, St. Mary’s College of Baliuag, St. Mary’s Academy of Sto. Nino Meycauayan, Bulacan, St. Mary’s Academy of Capiz, Roxas City, St. Mary’s Academy of San Nicolas, Cebu City, St. Mary’s Academy Cagayan De Oro City, Lourdes College Cagayan de Oro, St. Mary’s College of Tagum and University of the Immaculate Conception, Davao City.
By partnering with Edukasyon, each school now has a dedicated profile on the online properties Edukasyon.ph and FindUniversity.ph, offering senior high school and college students information on its programs, courses, application requirements, tuition fees, scholarships, and student life. Students will be able to browse, inquire and apply to these RVM schools directly online, and at no cost, saving time and effort on travel. Each school also has the capability to receive, manage and track student inquiries and applications directly using the technology platform.
S. Ma. Marissa R. Viri, RVM, Chair of the RVM Education Ministry Commission and President of the University of the Immaculate Conception, said, “We recognize that technology has changed the landscape for both schools and students, especially for gathering information and processing applications. The RVM Education Ministry provides valuable learning opportunities and we are pleased that Edukasyon will now enable some of our schools to reach and interact with a broader pool of student applicants.”
Edukasyon aims to empower more than 20 million Gen Z youth (age 13-23) to make better-informed education, career and life choices. In addition to serving its partner schools, the platform lists information on more than 13,000 schools, 20,000 courses, and 4,000 scholarships, and offers engaging multimedia content through its blog and other social media channels. Recently, Edukasyon has boosted efforts to partner with corporations on youth-targeted content, and to extend its reach through its growing teams in Davao and Cebu.
Edukasyon CEO and Founder Henry Motte-Muñoz said, “Our team is dedicated to supporting the needs of our school partners and translating them into offerings on our technology platform. Above all, we understand Filipino students as their behavior and preferences continue to evolve, and work to ensure they are meeting the right education opportunities online.”
