Ecozone Workers in Visayas to be Vaccinated

The Office of the Presidential Assistant for the Visayas (OPAV) assured that ecozone workers in the Visayas will be vaccinated on Thursday, June 3, 2021.

This is after the Presidential Assistant for the Visayas Secretary Michael Lloyd Dino and Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) Director General Charito Plaza had a meeting on Monday.

 Plaza visited OPAV to personally deliver a letter of request to vaccinate a total of 265,797 ecozone workers in the Visayas (221,374 direct workers in Central Visayas, 38,270 employees in Western Visayas, and 6,153 in Eastern Visayas).

Dino said that they are coordinating with Project Balik Buhay (PBB) as well as the different chambers of commerce in the Visayas in this effort to vaccinate ecozone workers in the region.

The Project Balik Buhay is a program of OPAV, Local Government Units (LGUs), Department of Health-Region 7, and the private sector to help the progressive reopening of businesses and communities in the Visayas. (ASC)
