Earth Hour2015: Calyx Centre Goes Black To Go Green

March 28, 2015, 8:30pm marks the 9th Earth Hour global movement and Calyx Centre being a pillar in the eco – friendly construction community is celebrating with the rest of the world in the lights- off event- going black to go green!

At 8:10pm at the Calyx Centre Activity Hall, a brief program was held through a consolidated effort between all Calyx Centre outlets- Hikay, Serenitea, Sunburst, Eastwest Bank, Gusto, Icenter and 7/ eleven. Earth Hour videos were shown, trivia questions and prizes were given to the audience and a few minutes before 8:30PM, candles were lit in and out of the establishments. Candles forming number 60 at the middle of the activity hall was then lit by 8:30PM. A band serenaded the audience during the dark hour.

The outlets worked hand in hand to make the ceremonial “switching off” an annual event, in line with the spirit of Earth Hour to further showcase the “Calyx” brand. This is the 2nd time Calyx Center participated in the Earth Hour movement.

Lights were turned on by 9:30PM and the celebration continued with music all through the night, with the hope that Calyx Center’s GOING B LACK act would be a great contribution to a GO GREEN world.
