Earth Hour and Beyond the Hour Celebration at the Crimson
On a fine breezy Saturday night about a hundred people gathered together at the beach of Crimson Resort & Spa Mactan to celebrate with the rest of the world 60 minutes of darkness to celebrate Earth Hour – an annual event that started in 2007 to raise awareness about the effects of global warming.
The celebration at Crimson was spearheaded by its new Resort Manager, Kristofer Quadros who shared the various environmental conservation and energy and other resource saving initiatives the resort observes.

The beachside event was attended by Lapu-Lapu City councilor Quennie Ammann and Tourism Officer Hembler Mendoza who are both strong supporters of the resort’s environmental efforts.
Media friends, travel industry partners and corporate clients also joined in the celebration where they were entertained by LED performances, drumbeaters and acoustic performances. All guests were also asked to sign in the “beyond the hour pledge” to show how they can contribute in their on little ways to the betterment of the earth.
Earth Hour is an annual event at the resort to cap off the success of the various conservation and resource savings projects of the resort and be one with the world in changing climate change.
