Duros to Build ‘World Class Golf Course’ in Liloan
A world class 18-hole golf course that will be designed by the group of world famous golfer Jack Nicklaus will soon be made in Liloan, Cebu, said Francis Dexter Bandala, Chief Operating Officer (CEO) of the Duros Real Estate and Markets Manager Group, during The Padgett Place condominium’s open house and maiden presentation of Sinulog in the Air, in honor of Cebu’s patron, Señor Santo Niño.
Duros Land Properties,Inc., the mother company of Duros Real Estate and Markets Manager Group, is the developer of The Padgett Place-Cebu in Molave Street, Lahug.
A couple from Manila that won the Pilipinas Got Talent of ABS-CBN, Liw and Vinia Peralta, performed the breath taking aerial dance to the Sinulog beat after rappelling of one from atop the 26th floor of the newly constructed high-end condo while another did a zip lining from its 5th floor to hand over the image of the Santo Nino to the waiting Sinulog dancers before the performance of the Peralta couple who call themselves as “Cloth Aerialists.”
According to Bandala, apart from the course design by Nicklaus and his men, the sports facility will be managed by the team that also runs the Santa Elena Golf and Country Club in Laguna.
Bandala said the golf course would form part the Duros mountain resort in barangay San Roque, Liloan where it is designed to poster bonding among families where the father could play golf and his children and other family members would also enjoy the resort and park amenities.
“It is conceptualized where the father plays golf, the son is also enjoying so they could go together even while the head of the family is playing,” Bandala said in the press conference that ensued inside the P1-billion condo project that is set to be turned-over to its unit owners and buyers in July this year.
Grace Tortor, the company’s chief marketing officer revealed that the condo owners are entitled to free access and use of the golf course and the mountain resort.
As the dance on the air on Thursday was spectacular, Tortor announced that it would be free viewing to the public, up to Sinulog festivities on the 19th, adding they might bring it near the Sinulog Grand Mardi Gras spectators, taking the cue from journalist Anol Mongaya, whose wife Doris, runs P.R. Works, which helps Padgett Place condominium in its public relations packaging.
Aerial dancing is breath taking as the performers do aerial acrobatics with no safety lines consisting of climbs, wraps and drops on a specially-designed fabric.
According to its press kit, Padgett Place used to be the residence of retired American serviceman, Cyrus John Padgett, who lived there during his stint with the Philippine Refining Company (PRC) after he vowed out from the U.S. army.
